Marketplace syncing, explained
Questions before you connect.
- Which marketplaces can we sell on today?
-
Cardmarket, CardTrader and Mage Cards connect directly. eBay
connects through Shopify Marketplace Connect. Mana Pool and
TCGplayer are in development.
- Do we need our own marketplace seller accounts?
-
Yes. Card Companion connects to the seller accounts you already
hold. You keep control of each account, including its fees,
settings and relationship with the marketplace.
- Do we need to split stock between channels?
-
No. Every connected channel sells from the same available
quantity, so each card can remain listed everywhere until it
sells. There is no need to reserve copies for individual
marketplaces.
- Does connecting a marketplace change our store?
-
No. Your products, theme, domain and checkout remain unchanged.
Card Companion handles the card-specific listing and stock work
around your existing store.
More marketplace questions
- How quickly does stock update after a sale?
-
Each marketplace processes updates on its own schedule, so a short delay can occur.
If an update is rejected, it remains visible for your team to review rather than failing silently.
- Where do marketplace orders appear?
-
They enter the same order flow as your website and counter sales,
so your team can pick and pack them in the same way. See how this
works in the
orders and fulfilment workflow
.
- Do prices sync as well as stock?
-
Yes. Your pricing rules determine the price for each condition,
language and finish, and connected marketplaces list from those
prices. See how this works with
automatic pricing.
